Huangguoshu Scenic and Historic Interest Area

Huangguoshu Scenic and Historic Interest Area is situated at the confluence of Zhenning and Guanling counties, 45 km from Anshun city, and 128 km away from Guiyang, the provincial capital of Guizhou. It is a national AAAAA scenic area and a national scenic and historic interest area.

Huangguoshu Scenic and Historic Interest Area is known for hanging waterfalls, karst caves, natural miniature landscape, stone forests on waters, running waters in the high mountains, and deep and serene valleys. The Huangguoshu Waterfall in the center is 101-meter wide, and 78-meter high, which is surrounded by 18 smaller waterfalls in night layers. The 18 smaller waterfalls are equally beautiful waterfalls, such as Luositan Waterfall, Silver-Chain Waterfall and Dishuitan Waterfall etc are known as the Huangguoshu Waterfalls Cluster. It was included into the Guinness Book of World Records in 1999 as the world's largest waterfall cluster. Water Curtain Cave, a 134-meter natural corridor behind the Huangguoshu Waterfall, allows visitors to watch, hear and touch the thundering water streaming down. A colorful rainbow arching across the waterfall from time to time turns the splendid waterscape into a real feast for the eyes. In the area close to the Huangguoshu Waterfalls, tourists can find a number of fascinating tourist attractions, such as Tianxin Bridge, Stone Village, Dripping Pond and Baling River, each showing its unique style.
