Hejia Village
Situated in Wenping Town in Dejiang county of Guizhou province, the village was built by the ancestors of the He clan in the Qianlong reign (1736 - 1795) of the Qing dynasty. The village was meticulously constructed according to the traditional geomantic theory, showing the Tujia architectural characteristics and the architectural style of Central Plains. The ancient, unadorned, mysterious and unusual Nuotang Opera is called the "living fossil" of Chinese theater. The village has 13 Nuotang Opera troupes, and 66 performers. With clearcut cultural characteristics, Hejia Village is of high historic, artistic and tourism value.
